Founded in 1832, Bellevue Christian Church is part of the Restoration Movement. Although it is sometimes referred to as the Stone-Campbell Movement, after two of its early prominent leaders, what sets this movement apart from many others is that it was not started by any one person. Instead, many churches and individuals sought to break away from various denominational teachings and return to the teaching of Scripture where there would be: “no Creed but Christ.”

Today, we remain a church that seeks to study Scripture and live our lives to the best of our ability according to the Word.

What you will find taught in our church are things that all true believers can agree on, no matter what their denominational background is:

A Name all can wear – “Christian” – 1 Peter 4:16, Acts 11:26

A Creed all can believe – “Jesus Christ” – Matthew 16:16 – 18, Acts 8:37

A Discipline all can follow – “The Bible” – 2 Timothy 3:16 & 17

A Change all can make – “Repentance” – Acts 2:28, Acts 17:30, 2 Corinthians 7:10

A Baptism all admit valid – “Immersion” – Mark 16:16, Romans 6:3 – 6, 1 Peter 3:21

A Communion all can partake – “The Lord’s Supper” – 1 Corinthians 11:23 – 29

A Life all can live – “Christianity” – 2 Peter 1:5 – 11

A Promise all can enjoy – “Heaven” – 1 Corinthians 2:9, John 14:1 – 6, Revelation 21:1 – 9

Each week, you will hear biblically sound preaching and be warmly welcomed by a fellowship of Christian believers.

Affirmation of Faith

We, who are gathered as Bellevue Christian Church, confess that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God, and proclaim Him Lord and Savior.  We believe the mission of Bellevue Christian Church is to worship God by gathering weekly around the Lord’s Table, and committing ourselves to Christian unity; to seek to know God and to make God known, through study and teaching of the Scriptures; and to create a loving faith community that invites and cares for all of God’s people.
